I then inserted a 'pre order on iTunes' logo and a 'spotify' logo as this will show the audience where they can buy the product, due to my target audience been of a young age they are more likely to visit sites such as these to purchase music it therefore would be suitable and appropriate for them.
I then inserted a Spotify and a pre order I tunes logo to show the audience where where to purchase
the products, these are 2 very popular sources especially as my target audience
is of a fairly young age it is something they are commonly using.
I then added in a website which I had made up for my artists to know where to visit for more information. This is very conventional of album posters as due to Web 2.0 and an advance in media technology the audience to use mobile phones to visit web pages and pre order music and download it to their music accounts which are connected on more than one device. I also added 'The new album from The Avalanche' this shows the audience who the album is advertising, but the title of the album is still bolder than the artists name so the audience can differentiate the 2.
I then inserted the release date of the album at the bottom of the page, this shows the audience when they can purchase the album.
I then created a diamond shape out of white lines, I made this shape to put my image in as I felt that it created a sense of being trapped inside a box, which is how I wanted to portray the idea of negative and positive thoughts being trapped inside the mind.
I then inserted my font for my album name, I made this bold so it stood out to the audience, I chose the font 'avalanche' I felt it looked broken and referenced the idea of the skeleton images used. My audience also thought this. I chose the colour white as this connotes the opposite of black and the colours white and black represent the colours of the skeleton.
I then inserted a black rectangle for the background, this connotes ideas of fear and mystery which links to my video and creates continuity.
I first set up a blank document on Photoshop, I made sure that the width and height was the correct size for an A4 advert.
